About

MindsSpeak is my Christian witnessing tool to my family and friends. I hope to correct here, what I feel has been my failure to sufficiently express my beliefs about God, His Son, Jesus, The Christ, and His plan of salvation, primarily to my children.

I pray that God will grant me the ability to express, with clarity, my understandings of the Holy Scriptures. On some topics, I believe there can be no “matter of opinion”, on other topics I will strive to make it known when my understandings are simply a matter of my personal opinion, as opposed to plain biblical truth.

Firstly, I would like to quote what I believe to be one of the best explanations of the “meaning of life” in all of the scriptures:

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth…he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ (From Acts 17:24-28 NIV)

He, God, determined the time set for you and the exact place where you should live. God did this so that you would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

To me, this means that God created you at this exact time and in this exact place because of who He created you to be. Because of “whom” you are, this is the very best time and place for you to “…seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him…”

Most people ask themselves, at some point in their lives, the question, “Why am I here?”, however, few people, I believe, ask, “Why am I now?” I believe the two cannot be separated, that the two questions go hand in hand with the same answer:

“God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us, “For in him we live and move and have our being”.

Simply stated, the meaning of life is to find God. We, you and I, are here and now with the purpose of finding Him, of finding the One who gives us life and breath and everything else. Do not dismiss your purpose! Your eternal future depends on it!
